The incoming exchange students will work to develop their instrumental and performance skills and shall study a varied repertoire in solo and chamber music. Work on “historical awareness”, stylistic aspects as well as sound, projection and colours - will have an important focus within the student`s principal study.
Depending on their main instruments, the students will work on orchestral or choral skills and will develop their proficiency in solo- and chamber music playing. The students shall learn how to interact professionally at different levels.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this course, the students shall:

be able to display convincing instrumental and musical skills

be able to master chamber music in different instrumental constellations

have clear communicative skills in performances of both soloistic and chamber music repertoire

Teaching methods
This subject is centered around one-to-one tuition in main instrument and chamber music. Additional principal study lectures will be offered through masterclasses, workshops, chamber music tuition and practical seminars led by high-profile performers.
Digital tools will be used if expedient. The student must have access to a personal computer.
Semester plans will be posted on Canvas at semester-opening. The workload is estimated to 27 hours per credit
Evaluation
The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.

Individual assessment in main instrument and chamber music – repertoire to be confirmed by main instrument teacher 15 minutes duration. Assessment: Graded A-F
