The course includes the following two parts:
Teamwork and team management
This part of the course provides an introduction to the theory of establishing, leading and developing well-functioning teams, including how the members of a team can be motivated and stimulated to creativity and innovation, as well as how to achieve effective communication within the team and externally. Furthermore, methods for conflict resolution and ethical aspects of teamwork and team leadership are discussed.
Effective communication of concepts within cybersecurity
This part provides an overview of key concepts within cybersecurity from a management perspective. Different target groups for research related to cybersecurity are identified, and effective communication strategies are introduced.
Learning outcomes
After completing this course, the student should be able to

explain how well-functioning teams can be established and understand how one's own personality and ability to solve problems can affect teamwork

apply recommended principles for structuring teamwork and be able to contribute to resolving personal conflicts in a team, in accordance with ethical and professional guidelines

describe challenges in leading multicultural teams

perform analysis of team development and group processes and describe findings

communicate key concepts within cybersecurity effectively to different target groups

Teaching methods
The course is given as seminars including lectures, exercises, and group work. Parts of the course are compulsory Detailed information is provided in Canvas at the start of the semester. The estimated workload is about 210 hours.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.
