Learning outcomes

On successful completion of the course, students will:

  • have knowledge of different communication perspectives and modes of communication

  • know the basic pedagogic and didactic concepts

  • be able to make use of various communication- and motivation techniques facing different groups

  • be able to reflect upon his/her own professional communication

  • be able to reflect upon ethical challenges in communication

  • be able to plan, carry out and evaluate health related teaching with the use of didactic methods

Examination requirements

  • Approved group assignment with oral presentation

  • Attendance requirements must be met

Teaching methods

Literature study, lectures, supervision and group work.

Attendance is compulsory for parts of the course -see the semester plan for more details.

Estimated student workload is about 270 hours.
