Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, students will:

be familiar with the diversity of factors which influence public health

have basic knowledge of social disparity in health in Norway, as well as mental health and health related to work

have knowledge of the prevention of infectious diseases

be familiar with various arenas within public health work

be able to explain public health challenges in a life-cycle perspective

be able to account for public health work related to migration health

Teaching methods
Literature studies, lectures, group work and compulsory field trips.
Attendance is compulsory for parts of the course. See the semester plan.
