Course contents
The scientific principles applied to measure the following: Flow velocity, temperature, pressure, humidity, water content in materials, liquid level, qualitative and quantitative liquid and gas analysis, current and voltage.
An introduction to measurement uncertainty. Estimation of measurement uncertainty. Acquisition and storage of data. Management of data.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion, the students should:

possess knowledge on the scientific principles utilized in metrology and perform relevant calculations

be able to apply a variety of metrological principles

know how to evaluate the measurement uncertainty when measuring physical parameters

be familiar with structures for computer-based instrumentation, data acquisition and presentation of data

be able to dimension components often found in modern metrological systems

possess knowledge on analysis and management of metrological data
