A prerequisite is good knowledge within the area of study.
Course contents
There will be given an introduction to the course and the expectations the course lecturer has to the project work. The students will be assigned to a project within their chosen field of study. The main part of the course will be project work conducted in a group or alone. In addition the students will write a report and present their project orally.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, the student

will have acquired depth knowledge in a field relevant for multimedia or computer science

should have acquired the knowledge and ability to carry through a large ICT project
Teaching methods
Individual work with supervised projects. The main part of the semester will consist of project work and supervision in the laboratory.
Estimated work load for the average student is 27 hours per ECTS credit.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.

Assessment methods and criteria
Project work done individually or in groups counts 70 % of the final grade. The oral presentation counts 30 % of the final grade. Graded assessment. Information about the requirements of the project report will be given in Canvas at the start of the semester. It is not allowed to deliver improved versions of the project in connection with new or postponed examinations.
