Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, the student is expected to:

Understand the subject’s correlation to the other courses in the civil engineering program

Have knowledge of implementation models for digital building processes/digital projects in a project-based organization

Have knowledge of roles and responsibility in a digital building process

Be able to explain key standards for information management

Be able to verify the quality, availability and uses of data

Be able to use information in digital models to perform a structural analysis and a life cycle analysis or a cost estimate for a project
Examination requirements
Portfolio must be passed. Requirements for the portfolio will be presented at the start of the semester in Canvas.
Teaching methods
Flipped classroom, where the students watch video lectures online, and the hours on the timetable is for problem solving and group work, with mentoring. Problem- and project-based learning. Estimated workload for the average student is 27 hours per credit.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.”

Admission requirements for the course are the same as for the master’s programme in Civil and Structural Engineering.

Group project, 45 % of total grade
Individual oral exam, 55 % of total grade
