The instruction assumes thorough knowledge of system development: IS-102, IS-105, IS-200, IS-201 and IS-202, or equivalent.
Learning outcomes
Upon succesful completion of the course, the students will be able to:
explain the role of architecture in system development
design, document and evaluate software architectures
explain how the context (e.g. the architects experience or the sociotechnical environment influences the architecture.

Up to 4 hours lectures and 8-10 hours group work/exercises per week.

Assessment methods and criteria
A 4 hour written, individual examination which comprises 60 %, and a project report which comprises 40% of the final grade. Students must pass both parts.
