The course introduces basic concepts in e-commerce. Emphasis is placed on students becoming aware of the importance of e-commerce in society in relation to technology, organization and society. Through group work, the students will prepare a business plan and marketing material related to a specific business idea that the students themselves have developed.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Examination requirements
Mandatory group presentations must be completed and passed. Dates for the mandatory group presentations will be published in Canvas at the start of the semester.
Teaching methods
The course is organized with a mixture of lectures, digital teaching activities, and group work. The students will immerse themselves in a self-chosen e-commerce project. Organized teaching is normally given in the form of two hours of class activities and two hours of group work per week. Estimated workload is 10 hours per week per student.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.

Assessment methods and criteria
Groupwise portfolio assessment that counts 40% and oral examination in groups with individual grades that count 60%. Grades A-F.
