The skeletal frame and function, and assembly and function of the muscles

Anatomy of the upper and lower extremities of the body / torso

Functional anatomy
Biomechanics

Sports biomechanics and basic mechanical and organical principles

Mechanical / organical analysis of movement in sport
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, the student will:

have basic knowledge of sports biomechanics

be able to do a basic mechanical organical analysis of movement in sport

Teaching methods
Instruction will be in the form of lectures, practical work, demonstrations and group work. Parts of the instruction may be compulsory - please refer to the course brochure in Canvas.
Estimated student work load is about 270 hours.

The course will have two exams, which both must be passed:

Part A counts 40% and consists of a graded 3-hour written individual exam, and is arranged mid term.
Part B counts 60% and consists of a graded 3-hour written individual exam and is arranged at the end of term.
The course will be given one final mark.
