Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, the student will

be able to describe the role of sports in society, both in a historic and contemporary perspective

have basic knowledge about various psychological aspects associated with physical activity and performance

have basic knowledge of and experience from learning and teaching in order to be able to plan and conduct sports activities

be able to reflect upon ethical perspectives in sports

The advanced teacher education students must have passed their practice period

Teaching methods
Instruction will be given as lectures, practical work, student presentations and seminars.
Estimated student work load is about 270 hours.
Bachelor's students in physical education and sports will have a practice period related to sports activities management at various relevant practice placements for up to two weeks.
Advanced teacher education students will have a ten-day practice period in school.

Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. A graded 4-hour individual school examination
