  • Praksiserfaring med helsefremmende arbeid gjennom relevante arbeidssteder og deltakelse i konkrete arbeidsoppgaver tilsvarende 15 dagers arbeid

  • Folkehelsearbeid som anvendt fag

  • Formidling av egen praksiserfaring

  • Etisk refleksjon i forhold til verdier og holdninger i relasjon til praksis

Oppgaveskriving om et relevant tema 

 

  • Practice experience with health promotion through relevant workplacements and participation in specific work tasks corresponding to 15 days of work

  • Public health work as an applied subject

  • Dissemination of own practice experience

  • Ethical reflection on values ​​and attitudes in relation to practice

  • Writing an assignment on a relevant topic

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of the programme, students will

  • have knowledge about how health promotion works in practice, and how health promotion work is carried out in the individual enterprise

  • have knowledge of, insight into and practice in public health work as applied subject

  • have practical experience with health promotion

  • have a broad understanding of the connection between research, theory and practical health promotion work

  • be able to reflect on his/her own values ​​and attitudes

  • have competence in collaboration and communication with users and other partners

  • have experience in defining and planning a development or evaluation project related to the field of practice, which is documented through academic writing

  • have basic knowledge of the implementation of projects and measures in the field of practice

Examination requirements

  • Passed practice period

  • Approved oral presentation

  • Approved attendance requirements for compulsory teaching

  • Approved project sketch

  • Approved participation in compulsory seminar supervisions, including contributions with own submissions and feedback on fellow students' work.

Teaching methods

Work methods are observation and work in the field of practice, in addition to lectures and seminar supervision groups. Students must follow the internship's routines and regulations. A theoretical project work related to the field of practice must be carried out individually or in groups, under supervision. The students will convey their experiences from practice to the others in the group and, if applicable, also back to the field of practice.

The scope of practice is 15 working days (a total of 112.5 hours), primarily three consecutive weeks. Practice is compulsory.

The student workload is estimated to approx. 270 hours.

Evaluation

The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.

Assessment methods and criteria

The examination will be a theoretical project work that is carried out individually or in a group of two students.

Students will choose a topic related to the field of practice.

Graded assessment is given for the project work. For project work carried out in groups, a common grade is given.
