Rectilinear motion, force and motion, mechanical energy, mechanics in fluids and gases, thermodynamics, waves, light waves, rotational dynamics, periodic motion and fluctuations.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student is expected to
have knowledge of the importance of physics in understanding the nature and practical technology
have a knowledge of the most important physical theories
developed skills in solving physical problems with mathematics as a tool
acquired attitudes to the role of physics in technological and environmental issues
Examination requirements
Portfolio with 4 compulsory assignments.
Teaching methods
Lectures and exercises/laboratory work (in groups, depending on the total number of students).
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.”
Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam (3 hours). Pass/fail.
