To begin the practical placement in connection with the bachelor thesis VER305, all previous courses except VER300 must be passed

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student must:

Be able to identify a topic and prepare an issue in connection with the bachelor thesis

Be able to justify the choice of scientific theoretical and methodological approach in light of the problem

Be able to analyze data regarding the problem for the bachelor thesis

Be able to document and disseminate knowledge in scientific theory and research methods, as well as be able to assess and discuss the relationship between theory and empirical data

Teaching methods
Teaching and work forms include direct and indirect practical studies. Direct practical studies (10 credits) are in direct contact with patient, user, client. Indirect practical studies are supervised practice, data collection, processing, analysis and design of a bachelor's thesis (20 credits).

The practical placement period has a scope of 150 hours.
Expected scope of work in the entire course is 810 hours.
Evaluation
The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.
Assessment methods and criteria
The exam consists of two parts:
Part 1: Written bachelor thesis in group. Adjusting individual oral hearing on the assignment where the grade can be adjusted by up to one grade.
The grade in part 1 is weighted 60%.
Written bachelor thesis in group must be assessed as passed before the candidate can present himself / herself for an individual, oral hearing.
Part 2: Oral, individual examination in the course's compulsory syllabus.
The grade in part 2 is weighted 40%.
Both parts of the exam must be assessed as passed in order for the course as a whole to be assessed as passed. Graded assessment.
In special cases, an application for an individual bachelor's thesis can be granted.
