legal requirements for health personnel and for case processing and coercive use in the health and social services

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student must:

be able to account for the structure and function of the health and social services

be able to account for different perspectives on the formulation and implementation of health and social policies

be able to account for different organizational and management theories

be able to account for and apply the legal rules on the processing of cases in accordance with health and social legislation

be able to explain the legal rules on the use of coercion in the health and social services and the rules on the rights and obligations of health personnel

be able to discuss different professional perspectives and theories in relation to actual / realistic situations
-
be able to conduct a planned research interview on relevant topics, and make a thematic summary
-
be able to reflect on the basis of critical thinking about models and values for environmental work in practice

Teaching methods
Work methods include lectures, supervised study groups, written assignments, course requirements, presentations and individual studies. Compulsory instruction is described in the Course brochure.
Evaluation
The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.
Assessment methods and criteria
The exam consists of a portfolio. The folder is delivered as a group answer. The folder must contain three student works:

Service organization, health and social policy
-
Law
-
Organizational theory
An overall pass/fail assessment is given. All three student papers must be assessed as passed in order for the whole exam to be passed. One common grade is determined for the group.
