The student:

Knowledge

• demonstrates knowledge of key ethical theories for social work

• demonstrates knowledge of communication, interaction and collaboration

• demonstrates knowledge of problem solving at individual and group levels through observation and mapping

• demonstrates knowledge of coordinated, coherent and knowledge-based habilitation and rehabilitation with the aim of achieving the best possible functional and coping ability

• demonstrates knowledge of environmental work and environmental therapy

• demonstrates knowledge of how to facilitate mastery and autonomy

• demonstrates broad knowledge of the relationship between functional impairment and disability, and how disability barriers can be reduced

Examination requirements

• Approved compulsory work requirements

• Participated in the agreed compulsory supervision during the practical placement period

• Approved individual practical placement assignment

Teaching methods

Work methods include direct and indirect practical studies. Direct practical studies are work assignments related to a patient, user, or client and require 90% attendance. There is also other compulsory teaching in the course. Indirect practical studies are logging, writing a practical placement assignment and supervised practical placement. Evaluation

The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.

Assessment methods and criteria

Practical studies require 90% attendance and are assessed as pass / fail. See the course brochure for further description.
