Students will complete an internship in a cultural institution or company where they will contribute to a project or solve specific tasks. An important part of the course is to acquire competence in project management within the field of culture. The work involves solving problems that allow the student to use theory and methods they have acquired in the study.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student should:

have practical experience of carrying out cultural project(s)

have practical experience on working in teams and in professional organizations or companies

be able to plan, implement and evaluate a cultural project

be able to apply professional knowledge in communication with both specialists and the general public

Teaching methods
The course is practical and related to the relevant project or activity for which the students will have an internship which the student has an agreement with. There are two different ways to choose a project / organization / company for practice:

The student chooses to have an internship in a separate project / organization / company that the department approves as part of the internship in the course.

By getting an internship at one of the Faculty of Arts' partners.
By 15 December, students must submit an application to the organization they are interested in. More information about routines / procedures is provided in Canvas.
The student stays at the internship for approx. 100 hours and is given work assignments relevant to their professional competence and the practice's needs. Flexibility is provided in how you want to organize your working hours and tasks.
Expected work scope is 27 hours per credits.
Evaluation
The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.

5 days individual written home exam. Scope is approx. 1500 words. Submission will be August 1st.
Grade: Pass/Fail.
