Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will:

have insight into and be able to apply methods in health promotion and prevention work
-
have insight into factors which influence public health and give an account of the different roles various parts of the health services play in public health work
-
have insight into demographic and epidemiological foundations for health promotion and preventive work both on individual and societal levels
-
be able to employ pedagogical knowledge in planning and carrying out supervision and/or teaching to patient and/or relatives
-
have knowledge about administration and management in the community health services
-
have insight into the management of nursing services on all levels
-
be able to organize and manage nursing to a specific group of patients and take part in change processes
-
be able to take part in the quality assurance of the services
-
be able to apply knowledge about change in health behavior in practical problems

be able to apply communication and conflict handling

be able to reflect upon the organization and management of the nursing services

have knowledge about principles for general first aid

master general first aid according to the ABC principle and lifesaving heart and lung procedures on children and adults

Evaluation
The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Assessment methods and criteria
Clinical studies are assessed with pass/fail. There is 90 % compulsory attendance in the clinical studies.
