Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, the student will:

have thorough knowledge of public health services and the organisation of treatment, caring and nursing to the incurable ill and dying, and to their relatives

have insight into important terms and topics connected to palliative care
-
be able to practise advanced professional nursing with respect for patients' and families' integrity and resources and the experience of being incurable ill and dying
-
have skills in interdisciplinary collaboration on various levels
-
be able to apply relevant knowledge when interacting with patients from different cultures as well as their family members
-
be able to relflect critically in decision-making situations and act ethically and legally justifiably
-
become a professional resource person for his/her colleagues

Individual five-day take-home examination. Assessed with the grades A-F. Refer to the course booklet for further details.
