Learning outcomes

On successful completion of the course the students should

  • be able to apply theories and perspectives on social change relating to interdisciplinary and organisational cooperation

  • be able to apply an analytic perspective upon changes in organisations and interaction related to welfare professions, on micro as well as macro level, and with regard to structural frameworks

  • be familiar with organisational and other factors which may promote or hinder cooperation across departments and services

  • be able to identify the requirements of coordinated services across organisations and departments

  • have the ability to reflect critically about the individual service user and service users' involvement in designing the services, with regard to extent as well as content. 

Teaching methods

Lectures, seminars, group work and tuition. Expected workload is about 270 hours.

Evaluation

The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.

Assessment methods and criteria

Groupbased project work, groups of 3-4 students. The length of the assignment should be approx. 25 pages. Graded assessment.
