The course will provide the student¿s with knowledge about core ideas and analytical tools developed by classical sociologists including Marx, Weber, Durkheim.
Themes include:

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student should to be able to
describe the various issues and problems investigated by classical sociologists
describe how these issues were investigated
describe transitions from traditional to modern societies
explain sociological concepts and theories introduced by classical sociologists
apply classical sociological theory in the analysis of current social phenomena
Teaching methods
Lectures, group work, and a supervised written assignment. Expected workload is about 270 hours.
