The admission requirement is the same as for master in sociology and social work

Learning outcomes

After the course the student has

  • profound knowledge of the nature and development of the nature and development of social work, including knowledge base

  • identify and discuss values and ethical challenges in social work

  • apply theories of power as an analytical tool in social work

Examination requirements

Approved individual reflection task.

Teaching methods

Teaching methods and workload

Lecture and group work with assignments and/or group presentations. Expected workload is about 270 hours.

Evaluation

The study program manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.
