Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, the student will:
Knowledge

be familiar with the relation between different diseases and sexuality, and how treatment may affect sexuality. The student will also be familiar with sexuality´s importance for health. The student will also have met sexual cultures and subcultures, and have processed his/her attitudes for various sexual expressions. The student will also have been introduced to the national and international distribution of the academic field of sexology.

have knowledge about the relation between disease, functional disability and sexuality.

have knowledge about life in institutions, organization and the clients´ need of privacy and sexuality.

have knowledge about prostitution and expressions in sexual cultures and subcultures.

have knowledge about sexological approaches in clinical work and in research, nationally and internationally.

Approved participation in compulsory group tutorials.

Evaluation
The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Assessment methods and criteria
A graded 8-week individual at-home examination. Please see guidelines in the course brochure.
