The course gives an introduction to the historical roots of Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam, focusing on historical origins and the development up till today. The course also gives a description of the development of doctrines, ideology and religious practice and of religious pluralism within the three religions. A central question: How have Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam been influenced by culture and society? Central periods are the periods when these religions originated and today.
