Course contents
The students will learn how to cooperate and produce an artistic product together in groups. They will have lectures in aesthetics, composition, song-writing, and simple music and visual production techniques. Based on industry knowledge as well as basic economic theories, the students will gain knowledge about how a creative investment is weighted towards and along with financial investment. By the end of the course, the students will have put their own creative works into a value portfolio, and thereby develop knowledge on how art and earnings are interrelated.

Examination requirements
Mandatory attendance is a premise. All work assignments must be passed before the final examination can take place. An overview of the workload will be posted on Canvas at the start of the semester.
Teaching methods
Lectures on aesthetics and creativity are combined with practical workshops where students write lyrics, compose a piece of music, and make a recording of the piece. The final outcome will be used as the basis of a simple music video production which the students participate in producing. Students will learn to develop a business and marketing plan based on the music and video they make. The students will be coached in presenting themselves and their cases using techniques from drama and acting. The course also includes individual work with the music and video.
The expected workload for the student is 27 hours per credit
Evaluation
The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.
Assessment methods and criteria
Take-home examination. The exam can be individual or in group.Duration: 4-days.
Assessed on the basis of pass/fail.
