Recommended prerequisites

Recommended knowledge from MAS409 Electric Motor Drives, MAS410 Hydraulics Components and Systems, MAS408 Analog and Digital Electro Technologies og MAS412 Machine Elements, or similar courses.

Course contents

Methodical product development: Methods and methodology for development of larger multi disciplinary systems. Engineering via concept and detail design to commissioning of the product. Technical analyses. Verification of the total system.

Employed project management: Methods and employment of PC based computer programs. Planning, follow-up and finish of larger multi disciplinary projects.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of the course, the student should be able to

  • accomplish a complete development of mechatronics products and analyze and verify the total system

  • students will have sufficient knowledge to manage projects for development of this type of products

Evaluation

Course evaluation is carried out as a midterm evaluation in accordance with standard procedure in the quality assurance system, chapter 2.1.1., unless other information is given in the beginning of the semester.

Assessment methods and criteria

Project report done in groups, with mandatory project presentation. Graded assessment.
