Course contents
The course includes both practical and theoretical introduction in digital communication and presentation.
The students will be prepared to meet current and coming forms of communication by use of digital screen media.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, students should
- demonstrate the principle of communication and presentation with the use of digital screen media
- describe, assess and compare web based genres
- carry out a presentation project using adequate software
- utilize the web to present information
Examination requirements
Passed a practical group assignment.
A field-work presentation must be passed.
Teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, blogging and field-work. The workload is estimated to about 400 hours.
Evaluation
The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.
Assessment methods and criteria
A reflection blog during the semester, counts 50%
An individual practical presentation project, counts 50%
Graded assessment.
