Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will have obtained an understandig of how IT enables and is a catalyst for new strategies, restructuring and improvements of business processes. Further, they will know the change processes that the technology requires or enables. The students will how to plan, manage and implement change processes.
Knowledge and skills:

Understanding of the role process orientation plays for the digitalization of enterprises.

Understanding of how IT enables new strategies, changes and improvements of business processes in organizations.

Knowledge of various traditions, theories and practice of process improvement in organizations

Ability to evaluate the need for and the potential of process changes

Ability to model and analyse processes with the use of leading tools.
Examination requirements
Compulsory assignments must be approved before being allowed to sit for a written exam.
Teaching methods
The teaching is organized in the form of 6 hours of lecture and group work per week. Compulsory attendance is required in parts of the teaching, which will be announced at the start of the semester. The standard workload for 10 ECTS is 13 hours per week. Expected working hours are 270 hours
Evaluation
The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course uses a two-part evaluation form to identify the extent to which key learning objectives have been achieved:
One or more project assignments count 40% of the final grade. A 3 hour written exam that counts 60% of final grade. Both parts must be passed in order to obtain an overall grade. The grade is indicated by letter grades from A-F. Exam information is published in Canvas.
