  • Cost / Income and Market theory

  • Cost calculations and Management accounting models

  • Introduction to financial accounting

  • Working capital and Capital budgeting

  • Financial mathematics and Cost of capital

  • Investment and profitability analysis including tax, inflation, capital structure and risk (CAPM)

  • Use of Excel in profitability analysis

Learning outcomes

After completing this course, the student should be able to:

  • Understand basic economics and corporate financial topics

  • Analyze and perform financial and economic calculations as a basis for business decisions

  • Understand the holistic aspects of a firms economy, social and ethical issues, certain sustainability goals and the importance of good managerial accounting

Written examination, 4 hours. Graded assesment.
