Course contents

This course forms the theoretical and practical basis for students' communicative competence. Various instruction provides students with an introduction to the French language, emphasizing its contrastive aspects and training students in correct pronunciation as well as overall comprehension of written and oral French.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course students will have

  • acquired knowledge of parts of the morphological and syntactical systems

  • improved their understanding of written and oral French

  • improved their written and oral language proficiency

Examination requirements

For all students: three short assignments
For major students: one individual oral presentation must be assessed as a "pass"
For students on integrated teacher training programme with master´s degree: passed practice
For teacherstudents: passed practice
For teachers who take this as a single course: passed didactic task

Evaluation

The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.

Portfolio with 3 - 6 assignments.
