EnglishCourse contents
The general topic of this course is an introduction to English phonetics on the basis of standard pronunciation. The emphasis is on articulation, ear training as well as phonemic transcription in addition to basic knowledge of the English sound system. This involves a phonological description of the English consonant and vowel sounds as well as their variants in natural speech, British and American. The course is taught with contrastive comparison in mind, especially English in comparison with Norwegian pronunciation.
