Course contents

The course develops the artistic process of theatre performance for children and young people. The final performance may be based on ideas/impulses from students or on outside course literature.

The performance should be performed at least six times at a location the students find suitable.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will:

  • have broad knowledge of theatre for children and adolescents

  • be able to reflect upon their own choice of theatre concept in terms of a target group, among other things

  • be able to plan and undertake a theatrical project with a great degree of independence

Examination requirements

- Approved compulsory attendance at class sessions and supervision.

- Approved log about the prosess of production.

 

Evaluation

The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.

Assessment methods and criteria

 - Theatre performance in groups, duration of 30 minutes. Individual assessment.

Assessed on a scale of A-F (with A as the highest mark and F as fail).
