To enable the transition to carbon-neutral solutions, it is agreed that both further development and fundamental knowledge of battery technology is crucial.
There is a strong need for strengthening the research facilities available at Norwegian universities and research institutions. The infrastructure will be distributed in research areas among all the central players in battery R&D in Norway. This will give Norwegian researchers and industry access to the state-of-the-art facilities necessary to succeed.
