Copyright and privacy
Copyright: Behind every image, video clip or illustration there is an artist who holds the copyright to their intellectual property. Without special permission, we are not allowed to redistribute and present images, for example.

With Colourbox and Skyfish, such rights have already been clarified, and students and employees can freely use these services.

More information
As a student or employee at UIA, you have the right to download images, videos and graphics completely free of charge.
This includes:
- Free use of images for presentations.
- Free use of images in teaching contexts.
- Free use of images for student assignments.
- You can edit the images if you wish.
The images in Colourbox can be used for marketing, teaching, articles and advertising. They are suitable for both electronic and printed material.
In an editorial context, you must mark the images with "Illustration photo: Colourbox.com".
Limitations
- The images may not be used for commercial purposes.
- Account holders can download up to 30 images per month.
- At the start of the academic calendar year, account holders must reactivate their user account:
- Students: Use Educational code. Find the procedure via CANVAS.
- Ansatte: Sign up now as a user with your @uia email address.
UiA's image archive Skyfish
In Skyfish you will find images that UIA has all the rights to.
All the images in Skyfish are approved for use, both in terms of privacy and intellectual property, and can be freely used by students and staff.

- Send an email to Saara Ojanen and request access.
- You will get access to Skyfish within a couple of days
The library's collection of films
The library has a DVD collection with feature films, documentaries and other films with academic content. The library has all films/series that are taught at UiA and a number of classics.
The DVD collection in Kristiansand can be found downstairs.
Search for movies in the library's collections via Oria.
Enter your keywords and limit your search to the desired material type "video".
If you choose the material type "audio-visual", you will find films that are available electronically (mainly related to music).
The library appreciates purchase suggestions from students and staff.
Purchasing suggestions
You can send purchase suggestions to the library with an order in Oria.
If you select Norwegian academic libraries as the search scope and limit the material type to "Books", you will get books from all Norwegian academic libraries that match your search.
Write in the comment field that you want to purchase for the library before you click "Order document".
If you want to order documents that are not available in Oria, fill in a blank order form which you can find at the top of Oria.
Log in with Feide and enter all the information you have about the document. Remember to write a comment that you want to purchase for the library

Filmrommet
The library has access to Filmrommet, a film service that contains various films in categories such as feature films, documentaries, short films, commercials and more. The films are for teachers, but can also be viewed in closed rooms at the library.
TV and radio program
For research and documentation purposes, you can order recordings from the National Library of Norway of radio and TV programs and have them loaned out for playback in a closed room at the library at UiA. You can order from the National Library yourself. Read about the terms and conditions and find booking information.

For teaching purposes, employees can download recordings of NRK programs from AV-sentralen by creating your own user. Feel free to give tips on new programs: post.avsentralen@kristiansand.kommune.no.
