Dictaphones

Employees can borrow, but are encouraged to buy with KFU funds. It is not possible to use a mobile phone without an online form app. Private dictaphones may be used in exceptional cases with the approval of the research and innovation department.

Terms and conditions

Before you can borrow, you must:

• For research: 
  Present a privacy assessment from Sikt (formerly NSD)
• For student projects that do not need an assessment from Sikt: 
  Present approval from the head of department or course coordinator that privacy is safeguarded.
• Read through the procedure for processing personal data in research and student assignments.
• Sign that you have read and understood the procedure and will comply with it.

• Å bruke utstyret i henhold til veiledningen som følger med.
• Å overholde lånetid og eventuell innkalling.

You commit to:

• Dictaphones can be reserved if they are all checked out. Available dictaphones can be reserved up to one week before it is picked up. Contact UiA Help at the desk or by email hjelp@uia.no to order.
• Dictaphones can be borrowed by contacting the UiA-help desk.
• When you receive the dictaphone, it will come with a memory card, a user guide and a copy of the guidelines for use that you have signed. Batteries are the responsibility of the borrower if the supplied AA battery is empty.
• The loan period is fourteen days. If no one has made a reservation, the loan will be automatically renewed for another fourteen days up to a maximum of twelve weeks. You will be notified when the recorder must be returned. See also the due date in Oria.
• Please note that there may be periods of high demand.
• In exceptional cases, another person can pick up for a patron. But this must be clarified with the library in advance. Send an email to hjelp@uia.no. The person picking up the dictaphone must have authorization from the borrower, a letter with Sikt assessment and guidelines with the borrower's signature.

Submission and Responsibility

• When you reture the dictaphone, the memory card must be included.
• UBA will destroy the memory card.

Responsibility

• If the dictaphone or memory card goes astray, you must notify UIA immediately.
• If the dictaphone is destroyed, or you lose it or it is stolen, you must pay a replacement fee of NOK 1,000.
