The research group Sociological theory development and analysis has invited Lars Mjøset to the Faculty of Social Sciences. Mjøset recently became professor emeritus. He has been a researcher at ISF and PRIO, and for many years professor of sociology at UiO. He was head of the Oslo Summer School in Comparative Social Science Studies. For a long time, Mjøset was responsible for the SV faculty in Oslo's PhD course in the theory of science, and he is now working on a book about the scientific theory of the social sciences.
After the lecture, there will be refreshments at the Department of Sociology and Social Work (H-building, 3rd floor).
