International networks

The University of Agder works systematically to increase international research collaboration through participation in EU projects, researcher mobility programs and strategic partnerships.

UiA participates in several H2020 projects, mainly in the fields of information and communication technology and security. UiA coordinates the project iTrack, among others. UiA is also part of several Interreg and Creative Europe projects. EU projects gather Europe’s researchers and research groups, and in collaboration with the business sector, they resolve challenges for the community and technology sector.

Researcher mobility is an important tool for making connections and strengthening existing networks. There are several scholarship programs for those who wish to travel to or invite colleagues to the University of Agder.

UiA is one of several Norwegian institutions cooperating with the Peder Sather Centre at University of California, Berkeley. The aim is to strengthen cooperation between Norwegian universities and UC Berkeley.

UiA is a member of University of the Arctic (UArctic). UArctic is is a cooperative network of universities, colleges, research institutes and other organisations concerned with education and research in and about the North.
