Abstract

In the lecture, the Professors Nanna Lüth and Wiebke Trunk will outline artistic forms and activist strategies that humorously question social rules and authorities. These include an action by the political opposition in Barnaul in Siberia in 2012, which put up posters on cuddly toys as proxies. A more recent example describes the imposition of imparting nonsense in the context of academic teaching and making fellow students dance. These and other examples are seen as exercises in tolerance of ambiguity, which can be understood as a democratic virtue. In addition, the limits of this "error-friendliness" are of interest.
