Food loss and waste is a major global problem. In the EU only, 88 million tons of food is wasted annually along the EU supply chain, from primary production to consumption, with associated costs of 143 billion euros. The associated environmental impact is also huge.

In the Horizon Europe research project Towards a New Zero Food Waste Mindset Based on Holistic Assessment (ToNoWaste) we collaborate to overcome these challenges with a multi-stakeholder and interdisciplinary approach that considers not only agronomic, economic, environmental and business model challenges, but also other cross-cutting aspects such as psychology, law and social innovation to fight also against gender and social inequalities. One of the goals of the project is to foster an organizational change in the food value chain businesses and to co-create new EU policies supporting them in corporate governance.

This is a digital event open for everyone, but registration is required, and the Zoom link will be sent upon registration.
