We work with language and literature as academic disciplines, in the field of translation, and in teacher education.
About the department
We offer degree programmes in English, French, Spanish, German, and Translation.
Research activities at the department cover several fields, including Translation and Intercultural Communication, Early Modern and Modern Literature from various language areas, Trauma Representations in Literature and other Cultural Forms, Song Lyric, Experimental Linguistics, Corpus studies of Student Language and Didactic Research.
Dissemination of current societal issues is also an important part of what we do.
