The Department of Popular Music educates musicians, composers, music technologists, musicologists, and music educators.
About the department
The department works with the entire popular music field and strives for a wide range of genres and musical creativity.
We offer programmes in performing popular music at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels, as well as a teacher education programme in popular music.
We are Norway's largest professional community within rhythmic music. We have a strong focus on performance, and excellent facilities at Campus Kristiansand. We have two top-equipped studios, a room with a 3D sound system, and well-equipped practice and band rooms.
