Areas of responsibility

My current research follows two main themes: (a) studying mitochondrial viability and targeted nutritional interventions to tackle impaired bioenergetics in health and disease, and (b) analyzing population health metrics in chronic cardiometabolic diseases. My research expertise and experience include pre-clinical and clinical development of mitochondria-related nutraceuticals, randomized controlled trials with nutritional interventions, pharmacokinetics of dietary supplements, tissue-specific metabolic assessment and translation, and clinical physiology.
