Barnas Rutpluks (completed)

For the project Barnas Rutpluks, all children in Kristiansand were invited to create a sculpture park for the city’s park area. Eight sculptures based on the children’s own ideas are now realised in collaboration with four professional artists. The purpose of the project is to give children insight into the whole process of creation and the contribution of art and sculptures to the community spirit. Barnas Rutpluks also gives children the opportunity to participate in the development of their own urban areas and get a sense of ownership of their own city.

Skapende barn (completed)

Skapende Barn (creative children) is an artistic programme offered to day care centres in Kristiansand by art educators and artists from the University of Agder. Through the use of visual art, music and literature, the primary goal is to give positive cultural experiences to young children. As well as spreading joy and well-being, the project strengthens the children’s language skills, social abilities and sense of achievement. Through Skapende Barn, we aim to prevent exclusion and encourage social participation for children in general, but also in particular for children at risk.
