Norwegian wildlife and landscape have always fascinated me.

Kristiansand is very nice and quite lively, even though it is relatively small. I am looking forward to exploring it more.

Emilio Venanzini

from Italy

Please introduce yourself

My name is Emilio Venanzini. I’m an exchange student from Italy, attending the Master's programme in Music Business and Management at UiA. I am a bass player who is also interested in songwriting and sound design.

Why did you choose Norway?

Over the years, I have watched many documentaries about Norway. Norwegian wildlife and landscape have always fascinated me. I love hiking in the mountains. I am also a big fan of the Norwegian band Motorpsycho.

What stood out to you about UiA?

I met a student from UiA at my university in Italy, and he said great things about it. In addition, I was really focused on songwriting and I didn't find many other options.

What were your first impressions upon arrival?

The first thing I noticed is that the buildings are really modern and I really liked that about the university. In Italy, we have a lot of historical buildings.

What do you think about the course in particular?

I see a lot of dialogue between the professors and the students, which is really great. The classes are small and I feel comfortable asking questions.

What do you like about Kristiansand and why?

It is very nice and quite lively, even though it is relatively small. I am looking forward to exploring it more, and also the nature surrounding it.

What would you like to share about UiA / the study programme to your home country?

The overall high quality of the university and availability.

Do you think UiA has given you any unique opportunities?

I believe it will, but I still have to find out about that!
