Awesome landscapes and very good conservation plans

The level of education at the University of Agder is very good, as well as the infrastructures and the quality of the campus.

Alejandro Quevedo

From Colombia

Tell us about you and from which University you are from.

I am from Colombia. I study biology at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá and I decided to come to Norway because I love to travel and to discover different places and people. I also know it is not the most common choice for someone from Latin America to come to the Scandinavian countries, but it is a good experience. Everything is different, from culture to food, but I am very happy that I made this decision.

Why did you choose Norway?

I chose this country for its awesome landscapes and its level of life, besides being quite ecological and having very good conservation plans. I also liked the idea of getting to know a culture totally different from mine and being able to see seasons like autumn or winter.

How was your arrival? What was your first impression of the University?

When I arrived I found friendly people who welcomed me with a smile. It was amazing to find a nice place to be and start meeting new people every day.

What do you think about the quality of the University and its courses?

The level of education at the University of Agder is very good, as well as the infrastructures and the quality of the campus. It is also very beautiful. There are many facilities that are suited for the students. The courses I have taken at the university are very good in general and very well thought out.

What do you like most in Kristiansand and why?

My favorite place in Kristiansand is not a place, but its nature in general. I love walking through the woods in all seasons and see how they are clean and preserved. I also love that near the university there is a lake so that people can swim during the fall.

Have you planned any trips during your stay?

I am planning a trip to Tromsø to see the northern lights, but there are still many many places in Norway that I did not get to know, so I plan to return.
