This course provides an introduction to international politics, internationalization and globalization from a historical and comparative perspective.
The course is divided into three parts and starts with an introduction to the development of international community and classical studies of relations between nation-states. In part two the focus will be on more recent theories of international politics, internationalization and globalization, as well as the debate as to where this development will lead. Finally, we discuss different regulations of international relations, with a special focus on foreign policy and rules of diplomacy, international law, international integration, cooperation and organization.

For students in teacher education, practice should be completed and approved.
Scope of work is 270 hours.
Before entering exams students should submit a written assignment. Instruction will be made available in Canvas.
