Course contents
The course gives an introduction to the recent history of religion in Norway. It provides an overview of the development from a unitary Christian society to a society characterized by Christian pluralism up till today's pluralism of religion and world views. Central questions are: How have practice and theory changed, and what characterizes the theories, ideologies and practice of religions today? The course emphasizes three central periods: The age of enlightenment and pietism, the modern breakthrough, and today.

For discipline students: Lectures, seminars and excursions For students in the master's programme in the teacher education: Lectures, excursions and practice The workload is estimated to ca. 270 hours. Further information when semester starts.
Examination requirements
For discipline students: Preliminary test must be passed. Further information will be posted on Fronter. For students in the master's programme in the teacher education: Practice must be passed.
Assessment methods and criteria
4-hour individual written examination. Graded assessment
