Course contents
The course provides knowledge about religious texts in Jewish, Christian and Muslim tradition, and the students will be presented with different ways of reading religious texts. The course addresses questions regarding the texts' creation and function and provides knowledge about the contexts in which the texts were created and used. A central question is: What is the relationship between the texts in the three traditions, and what overlapping traditions exist?
Teaching methods
Lectures. Practice for students in the teacher education.The workload is estimated to 270 hours.
Examination requirements
Preliminary test must be passed. Students in the teacher education: Practice must be completed and passed. Further information when semester starts.
Assessment methods and criteria
4-hour individual written examination. Graded assessment.
