New director at the Faculty of Fine Arts

Hanne Graver Møvig will be faculty director of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Agder. She comes from the position of director at the University Library in Oslo.

Hanne Graver Møvig has extensive experience from management positions at both the University of Agder and the University of Oslo.

Hanne Graver Møvig will start in the position at the University of Agder (UiA) in October.

“I am very pleased to welcome Hanne as faculty director. She brings a varied and exciting expertise that the Faculty of Fine Arts and UiA will greatly benefit from. Hanne knows UiA well, having worked here before, and has both sector knowledge and useful connections in the university and college sector”, says University Director at UiA, Seunn Smith-Tønnessen.

Møvig held several management positions at UiA from 2005 to 2017. She has also served as head of Vest-Agder County Library from 2011-2013, and in 2015 she was responsible for public services at the University Library in Oslo (UiO). She has held the position of library director at UiO since September 2017.

Møvig says she is looking forward to starting the new job.

“I have extensive experience in various leadership roles, both at UiA and UiO, and I know the higher education sector well, both the administrative and academic sides. I am primarily looking forward to getting to know my colleagues at the Faculty of Fine Arts and contributing to various initiatives at UiA”, she says.
