Use this procedure to export data from Surveyxact to SPSS
Step 1: Surveyxact - prepare dataset for export
1. Open the survey you want to export data from
2. Go to the ANALYSIS section (left menu)
3. Look for the "export data set" option in the right menu
4. Choose "export data set" and then "EU unicode"-format
5. In the following dialogue box, under "Choose format", tick the SPSS box only
6. All variables are included unless you untick them
7. Press "OK" when all options are correct
8. Surveyxact will then generate a zip-file you can download
9. Once downloaded, unzip the files, and open dataset.csv in excel. Save it as an excel file (xlsx-format)
Step 2: Import file to SPSS
Install SPSS through appsanywhere if you do not already have it.
1. Open SPSS
2. Choose file>open>data and select the dataset.xlsx file from step 1.9
3. Press "ok"
4. SPSS will load the data, which is only raw data without labels. You may add the labels in the following steps
5. Choose file>open>syntax
6. Select the label.csv-file
7. When a new box opens, select every element (ctrl+a), and press the green "play"-button (run selection)
8. Questions and labels will then be added to the dataset. You may store the generated report from this process.
